I started on colonel and for fun played the otherside. (like geddon coupled with dark chips kind of situation). I prefer home because he fits a style I like, mainly using the shuriken to avoid damage that you'd have to take otherwise. Shadow man is a preference kind of thing. However, he is weaker in grass recovery (woodman, I heard, recovers insanely fast). Tomahawkman is good on back to back liberation missions, since there's only 2 rows for the enemy (his entire swing). Higsby had to get rare chips to even stand a chance ( thinking in story terms). The same move set since the original game.

I acknowledge that I'm taking internet heroine on my own free will and making these liberation missions even more annoying lolĪt this point I've gotten enough nostalgia out of BN5 and just want to move on to BN6

I'm only assuming just cuz knightman and colonel are much better than the protoman counterparts which made the first 2 liberation missions a breeze.Īlso it doesn't help that I'm going full evil-mode with darkchips. Making team colonel a bit harder later in the game was probably intentional by design. If i dont use is scanning ability I practically just pass and pray that the ai targets him. his special move can be good, I'm probably just using it wrong but its just kind of underwhelming and not very intuitive to use. His dice is bad (high chance a virus will step on it) + its rng + high charge time. This is a trade-off however and not something thats "objectively" bad/good.

I know your technically suppose to scan and avoid battles with him but at the same time, it seems better to just spend the beginning points on someone like tomahawk and toadman to clear. He's pretty useless with no redeeming qualities. numberman is actually a new breed of terrible. Tomahawkman + shadowman arent as good as their team protoman counterparts but they're still dope in their own ways and doable. Fire moves are also fairly common so thats another downside to tomahawkman. Tomahawk man is great but at the same time napalm man can clear vertically which is more important than going wide. Shadowman isnt awful but seems like he's worse than gyroman in many ways. i told myself that i'd replay the opposite version and I recently found out that NUMBERMAN IS SO BAD as well as the majority of the team colonel navi's. I'm replaying some of the bn games since its been years since i've played the BN series.
